Boston, MA —
The Amazigh American Network Organization (AANO) is proud to announce the return of the Amazigh Film Festival, set to take place on October 12 at Northeastern University. This unique cultural event is dedicated to uplifting the voices, stories, and creative expressions of the Amazigh people—the Indigenous population of North Africa.
After hosting previous editions at Tufts University and Lesley University with great success, we are excited to bring the festival to Northeastern University this year. The 2025 program will feature a curated selection of films, documentaries, and visual works that explore themes such as identity, resistance, migration, language, and cultural preservation.
The festival will also include panel discussions with filmmakers and scholars, live musical performances, and space for dialogue with community members, students, and cultural advocates. Our goal is to create a platform that not only celebrates Amazigh heritage but also fosters connection and understanding across cultures through the arts.
This year’s edition is presented in partnership with the Northeastern North African Student Association and the Tazzla Institute for Cultural Diversity, with generous support from the Bank of Africa Foundation.
As AANO, we are committed to amplifying Amazigh voices and ensuring that our culture, history, and identity are shared, seen, and celebrated.
The event is free and open to the public with prior registration.
We invite everyone to join us and be part of this meaningful cultural experience.
