Our Projects
We take the initiative to celebrate Amazigh culture and build bridges between the Amazigh and the West through a various events that include Amazigh celebrations, workshops, community gatherings.
Amazigh New Year
Yennayer is the first month of the Amazigh Year (Berber languages: Aseggwas Amaziɣ, ⴰⵙⴳⴳⵯⴰⵙ ⴰⵎⴰⵣⵉⵖ, or the Amazigh year used since antiquity by the Imazighen in North Africa. Its first day corresponds to the first day of January of the Julian Calendar.
Amazigh Teaching
As part of preserving the language, we offer classes Teaching Tamazight to beginners and intermediate levels. The class is also intented to teach the young generation all the aspects of their cultural heritage.
Amazigh Film Festival
The Amazigh Film Festival is an annual event which was founded in Los Angeles in 2007 by Helene E. Hagan, President of Tazzla Institute for Cultural Diversity, Inc, a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the promotion of the Amazigh (Berber and Tuareg) culture.
Lectures
We are a community of artists, educators, thinkers, leaders and friends dedicated to help the general understand and learn our cultures . We bring national and world-renowned thought thinkers to universities and local cities to give cultural lectures and hold conferences to fulfil the above mentioned goals.
Helping Us Fulfil Our Mission
The Amazigh American Network Organization wants to spread our message of hope and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our team works tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the greater good. We are a voluntary organization with no funding and we rely on generous donations from supporters to keep our work going.
