Boston – April 8, 2026 – The Amazigh American Network Organization (AANO) is proud to share that we’ve received a grant through the Massachusetts Broadband Institute (MBI), a division of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech), through its Connected and Online Program. This initiative is helping communities across Massachusetts gain access to laptops, tablets, and other essential digital tools.

For us, this is really about our community. With this support, AANO will provide internet enabled devices to members of the North African community including the Amazigh community, helping individuals and families access various education, language workshops, job opportunities and everyday services that are now part of life online. These devices will be available through our community programs, making sure they reach those who need them most.

“This is about making sure our community is not left behind,” says Zouhir Naghala, President of AANO. “Access to technology today means access to opportunity—whether it’s a student doing homework, someone applying for a job, or a family connecting to important services. We’re proud to bring this support to the North African community, one of the very underrepresented minority communities in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts”.

The Connected and Online Program focuses on expanding access where it’s needed most, and we’re honored to be part of that effort. At AANO, we see this as another step toward empowering our community and helping people stay connected, informed, and supported. We’re grateful for this opportunity and look forward to seeing the real impact it will have
in people’s daily lives.

About the Massachusetts Broadband Institute at MassTech
A division of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, the Massachusetts Broadband Institute (MBI) is working to extend high-speed internet access and availability across the state. To achieve this, MBI uses state and federal funding to launch infrastructure expansion programs that target areas of the state that lack high-speed internet access as well as digital equity programs that tackle barriers to internet adoption and increase availability, addressing critical issues around affordability, enhanced public Wi-Fi, the need for internet-enabled devices, and digital literacy training.
